Emily Rowley Jones

 

Emily is a professional singer and teacher with over 15 years' experience teaching from home and in schools. After gaining a Music degree from The University of Southampton, she went on to further her studies on the prestigious opera course at The Guildhall School Of Music and Drama.  Emily was a freelance soloist for a number of years, working for companies such as Garsington, ETO and Bampton Opera to name but a few. More recently, she spent five years in the chorus of English National Opera, and has been a member of the Royal Opera House Chorus since 2016. 

Emily loves running, gardening and playing with her boys. She loves all types of singing and is passionate about helping people to feel confident in themselves. 

Julian Alexander Smith

Julian has been a freelance, professional singer and teacher for the past two decades. Having gained a 1st Class honours degree in music, he furthered his studies at the Royal College of Music and is a former Lay Clerk of Christ Church College, Oxford.

 

As a visiting music teacher, Julian is in demand at schools both in the local area and London and has assisted pupils in becoming members of the National Children’s Choir of GB, gaining music scholarships and has also had pupils understudy roles at companies including ENO. He is currently the vocal consultant to Harrow Choral Society. 

 

Julian has had a varied operatic and choral career performing as a soloist with companies including Opera Rara, Grange Park Opera and Opera Holland Park and has worked with some of the country's leading ensembles including the BBC Singers, The Gabrieli Consort and London Voices.

 

​A proficient pianist and keen runner in his spare time, Julian believes singing should be fun and available to all ages and abilities.  Emily and Julian are married and live in Rickmansworth with their 5 year old twin boys.
